About Transmeta

Founded in 1995, Transmeta is a privately held company based in Santa Clara, California. Transmeta develops, in concert with OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers, platform solutions for the Mobile Internet Computing market.  The solutions Transmeta have created deliver on the promise of Mobile Internet Computing: unlimited access to information and connections with people - wherever you happen to be. Transmeta's technology and vision for true portability will let you take the power of computers anywhere you like - where you live, where you work, and where you play.

Transmeta is also not ‘just’ another company. Transmeta has a pretty impressive number of ‘famous’ people working for them. To name just a few, Linus Torvalds, inventor of Linux, Dave Taylor, co-author of Quake and Murray Goldman, for many years responsible for the processor-design of Motorola.

Transmeta Corporation is a privately held Company. The Company presently has adequate funds available to support its operations as well as immediate access to cash to support future growth, and therefore, is not seeking new investments.

While Transmeta does see a public offering as a viable alternative for financing future growth, at the present time the Company has not set a timetable for a public offering and can not predict when the stock may be available to the public. If and when the Company were to decided to pursue a public offering, information would be available on the Web site.
